Electronic Gadgets Becomes Cheap With GST Reduction: Union Finance Ministry
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced relief for citizens, especially those planning to purchase home appliances and gadgets. On July 3, the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which was implemented on July 1 and is now in its sixth year, has been cut by the government. Appliances like smart-tv, fridges, AC, washing machines and others. The Ministry of Finance took to Twitter and announced the same officially.

Union FM Nirmala Sitharaman Says, Many Countries Interested In Bilateral Trade With India
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed Mindmine Summit 2022, and said many countries have evinced interest for bilateral trade in the rupee. The announcement and interest came after the RBI announced a mechanism recently. "It isn't the rouble-rupee which was in the old format. Now this (bilateral rupee trade) formulation, which I am glad the RBI has come up at a time which was so critical," said Nirmala Sitharaman.

RBI Expressed Concern Over Cryptocurrency In India: FM Sitharaman
The FM Nirmala Sitharaman said the RBI has expressed concerns over cryptocurrencies. On July 18, Nirmala Sitharaman said, they should be prohibited as they can have a destabilising effect on monetary and fiscal stability. FM said, "In view of the concerns expressed by the RBI on the destabilising effect of cryptocurrencies on the monetary and fiscal stability of a country, the RBI has recommended for framing of legislation".

Govt To Introduce Crypto Currency Regulatory Bill Soon: FM Sitharaman
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on November 30 said Central Government has planned to bring a bill to regulate crypto currency in India. Addressing the Rajya Sabha, the Union FM said, "I am indicating, there will not be a prohibition (on Cryptocurrency.'' Reportedly, the Union Government's bill will include a framework, regulations, and restrictions on Cryptocurrency, instead of a complete ban in India.

Centre Plans To Prohibit Cryptocurrency As Legal Transaction In India
