Ganja Worth Rs 2.33 Crore Seized In Anakapalle District: Andhra Pradesh
In Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalle district, Ganja worth more than Rs 2 crore were seized, on April 20. Reportedly, the drug was being transported from Vijayawada to Hyderabad in a truck, through the NH-16 National Highway. About 1169.30 Kilograms of Cannabis worth Rs 2.33 crore was recovered and confiscated by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), reported ANI. Further details on the matter is awaited.

Police Seizes 208 Kg Ganja In Siliguri: West Bengal
The Siliguri Metropolitan Police, on April 9, caught 208 kilograms of ganja from a truck in West Bengal’s Siliguri and held the driver of the truck. ''20 nylon packets containing Ganja weighing 208 kilograms which were kept concealed in a hidden chamber inside the cabin of the truck were recovered,'' stated the police. Notably, the police arrested the driver of the truck, Dinesh Sahani, and further investigation started.

Ludhiana Police Busts Drug Smugglers, Recovers 2 Quintal Ganja
In a major crackdown, Ludhiana police on March 13, recovered two quintals of ganja from four smugglers and arrested an interstate drug-smuggling gang. "We have arrested 4 smugglers and recovered over 2 quintals of ganja, 3 kg poppy husk, and half kg of opium from two trucks," said Ludhiana Police Commissioner, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. Meanwhile, further investigation in this case is underway.

NCB Seizes 6 kg Ganja and 3,375 phensedyl bottles In West Bengal, Arrests 1
The Narcotics Control Bureau Kolkata has retrieved 6 kg Ganja and 3,375 phensedyl bottles on February 8. The accused has been held by the police and has been identified as Krishnapada Paul, a resident of Bagdah. On the specific input by Border Security Force, Krishnanagar, NCB seized 3,375 phensedyl bottles, 6 kg Ganja, two cars, Rs 85,671 cash, and one American dollar from Paul.

Jharkhand Police Confiscates 70 Kg Ganja From NH33 Worth 9 Lakhs
During a vehicle inspection on National Highway 33 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand police confiscated 70 kg of ganja from a four-wheeler on October 30. As per the East Singhbhum district police, the recovered contraband is worth more than Rs 9 lakhs. However, according to the authorities, passengers in the car escaped leaving the vehicle behind. Maharashtra Police Seize 1,150 Kg Ganja; 4 Arrested
The Risod Police Station in the Washim district of Maharashtra seized 1,150 kilograms of Ganja, on October 18. As per sources, the Ganja which was worth Rs 3.45 crore, was seized from a truck on Hingoli Risod Road. Reportedly, the drug was transported from Andhra Pradesh to the other states. IPS Officer Bachhan Singh said that they have detained four accused in the state of Maharashtra. Further investigation is underway.

Refused To Pay Rs 50 For Buying Ganja, Friend Stabbed To Death
Pradeep Kumar, a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death by his friend named Prince Kumar, following a scuffle that broke out between them on July 31 in Bihar's Patna. Reportedly, Prince attacked Pradeep and fled away when he refused to pay him Rs 50 for buying ganja. However, Pradeep later succumbed to his injuries in a hospital. Besides, police have registered a complaint filed by Pradeep’s brother.

1.2 Kg Ganja Confiscated From 45-Year-Old Peddler In Maharashtra
