1st Case Of Dangerous Yellow Fungus Reported In UP's Ghaziabad
India has now been hit by yellow fungus, as UP's Ghaziabad reported the first case on May 24. Considered to be more dangerous than black and white fungus, the proliferating cause of yellow fungus is being attributed to un-hygiene and high humidity. As of now, the known symptoms are lethargy, weight-loss, low or no appetite and can cause slow wound-healing, pus leakage, organ failure and body-cell decay.

22-Day-Old Baby Defeats COVID-19 In Two Weeks
In a miraculous instance, a 22-day-old baby, born at private Yashoda hospital in Ghaziabad's Nehru Nagar in UP, has recovered from COVID-19. As per sources, the baby was found infected with coronavirus eight days after being born on April 5, and was brought to hospital again by the grandmother. Suffering from pneumonia in the right lung, the baby reportedly contracted the virus via the parents, who have also tested positive.

Uttar Pradesh's 8 Cities Listed In Top 10 Polluted Ones This Winter: CSE
Delhi-based non-profit Centre for Science and Environment's (CSE) analysis of 99 cities revealed that top 23 polluted cities this year belonged to North India. Man Beaten To Death In Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad In Busy Road
In a horrific incident, a man was beaten to death on a busy road in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad and none of the passersby had bothered to help the victim. Ghaziabad: Police Arrest Man For Faking His Own Kidnapping
Ghaziabad Police on October 7 arrested a 20-year-old man for faking his own kidnapping to buy a car. The accused, Akash Kumar, planned the fake kidnapping along with his two friends to get the money from his family, the police said. The police arrested the two accused, Akash and Ankit, but the third suspect is on the run. Further investigation is underway, informed the police.

Man Hit by Speeding Car Dies, Driver Abandons Car and Flees: UP
Vinay Kumar Nirmal (55) was hit by a speeding car in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, on August 28. Nirmal was rushed to a hospital nearby, but succumbed to his injuries. It is reported that the deceased was a Chartered Accountant (CA) by profession. Deputy Superintendent of Police Anshu Jain stated that the driver and his colleague abandoned the vehicle soon after the incident and fled the area.
