An interstate drug racket has been busted in Hyderabad, following which eight people have been arrested, said Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing on September 1. The officials seized 140 grams of Charas/Hash, 184 Blots of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and 10 grams of MDMA, among others worth Rs 9 lakh. Furthermore, the accused were using Dark Web for drug supplies, with cryptocurrency and other hidden apps to deliver the substances

The markets in Hyderabad sell a huge amount of Ganesh idols, ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi on August 31. However this year, vendors have claimed that their businesses have been affected after the ban on use of Plaster or Paris. With this, sourcing raw materials have reportedly become challenging, and manufacturing the idols have become expensive. Meanwhile, the increase prices are also affecting the customers.

Protests continued in the city of Hyderabad over suspended BJP lawmaker T Raja Singh’s prophet Mohammad remarks. As part of Swatantara Bharatha Vajrotsavalu, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) conducted a grand bus parade, on August 14. The parade was held in Hyderabad's Tank Bund. Notably, an antique Albion bus from the Nizam era was showcased during the parade. Reportedly, the bus was imported from London in 1932. The bus can carry upto 19 passengers, and is reportedly in a working condition.
