Maharashtra: 42-year-old Residential Building Collapsed In Thane

A 42-year-old residential two-storey building in Dombivli of Maharashtra's Thane district collapsed on October 29. However, it caused no casualties or injuries. Reportedly, the residents rushed to the outside after hearing the voice of cracking of building pillars. Maha Govt to Launch Scheme Providing Free Healthcare to Road Accident Victims

The Maharashtra Government on September 16, announced the approval of ‘Late Balasaheb Thackeray Road Accident Insurance Scheme’. Under the scheme, it will provide medical treatment to the victims of road accident. The injured will get treated within the first 72 hours of the accident at the nearest hospital, and a toll free number will be set up for their help. However, the scheme will not cover industrial or train accidents.

Maha CM To Provide Financial Aid To  Flood-Affected; Rs 16.50 crore Fund Released

Maharashtra Government, on September 04, announced the release of Rs 16.5 crore to help flood-affected people in Nagpur division. Maharashtra CMO tweeted, that the fund will be utilized to provide financial aid to repair houses and build shelters. Earlier, on August 30, State Disaster Rescue Force (SDRF) had rescued over 2,500 people from flood-affected regions of Nagpur. "Crops have been damaged to a large extent," Farmers reported.
