Minor girl

Vinod Kumar, a Station House Officer, accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl, has been suspended in UP's Kanpur Dehat district, said a senior official on September 2. Reportedly, the officer molested her when she was called at the Rajpur Police station for questioning regarding a case that was filed by her relatives, accusing her of blackmail. Police have registered an FIR following the girl who tried to commit suicide.

On her way to meet her friend, a 17-year-old girl was reportedly gang-raped by two married men in Maharashtra's Jalna district. To intimidate the survivor, the duo even taped footage of the terrible act. Later, a farmer discovered the teen unconscious. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment. After interrogation, the police arrested one of the accused while nab for the second is under process.

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested by the police under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012, for impregnating a minor girl in Tamil Nadu's Melur. Reportedly, the boy and the girl were classmates in a nearby school and infatuated with each other thus involved in a physical relationship without knowing the implication. Later the girl complained of ill health, resulting in the revelation of the truth.

A 40-year old man was arrested on July 9 after confessing his crime of kidnapping and assaulting a minor girl in Hyderabad. The police ran a search for the minor girl after her father filed a missing complaint on 4th July and eventually found her unconscious near a water tank. The minor was then rushed to a community health centre for treatment and examination.

A government primary school headmaster in Telangana’s Bhadradri Kothagudem district had allegedly raped five girls aged between 7 and 11 since August. The 40-year-old principal had forced them to watch porn and threatened them to stay quiet about the assault. The case came to light after a survivor from class 2 revealed her sexual harassment to her mother. The accused has been charged under Section 376 and POCSO Act.
