The Raipur district police of Chhattisgarh on November 23 said that three men allegedly raped a minor girl in a moving car on November 17. Reportedly, one of the accused, named Himanshu Gupta, was an acquaintance of the 14-year-old victim. The accused had picked the girl from her house on the pretext of a joyride. The police said a case has been registered; however, the accused are on the run.

The Uttar Pradesh Police on October 8 informed that a dead body of 17-year-old girl was found in Fatehpur district. The victim's family members have alleged that the girl was raped and murdered. While the initial medical reports suggest that the deceased was strangulated, police await the post-mortem report to confirm the allegations. Acting on the complaint by the family, police has arrested an accused identified as Aditya Raidas. 

A mentally challenged 6-year-old girl died on October 5 while undergoing treatment after getting sexually assaulted. Reportedly, the victim was raped by her minor cousin in Aligarh, and was being treated for the past 20 days. The Iglas Police informed that the accused was arrested and an FIR has been lodged. The police further said that the accused minor was produced in the Juvenile court and further proceedings were underway.

The Punjab police arrested a 30-year-old man who allegedly raped a neighbouring minor girl on September 14. Reportedly, the accused lured the girl with sweets and took her to his home. The police informed that the 7-year-old victim's mother filed a complaint after she witnessed the accused sexually assaulting her daughter. The accused had taken the girl to his house in the past too, the police added.

On September 14, police informed that a minor girl was kidnapped, gang-raped, and video-graphed by five in Imalia Sultanpur village of Uttar Pradesh. Reportedly, the crime happened when the minor was returning from market on September 7. The incident came into light when a video of the crime went viral on social media. The two accused have been identified as Sheebu and Nazim, of which Sheebu the main accused is arrested.
