Fire Breaks Out At Global Foyer Mall In Haryana’s Gurugram

A fire broke out at a mall in Haryana’s Gurugram, on September 30. The mall has been identified as Global Foyer Mall. The incident occurred in the early hours of the day, and soon after the incident, several fire tenders rushed to the spot to assist with dousing the fire. The exact cause of side is yet to be ascertained. Further details on the matter are awaited.

Seven Go Missing After Boat Capsizes In Assam’s Dhubri

At least seven persons have gone missing in the Brahmaputra river, after a boat they were on capsized in Assam’s Dhubri district. The boat was reportedly carrying a team of experts, who were on their way to inspect erosion near an under-construction bridge. The wooden boat reportedly hit something, due to which it capsized. A search and rescue operation is underway. Further details are awaited.

Central Govt Bans PFI Amid 'Terror Links' With Immediate Effect

The Government of India banned the Popular Front of India (PFI) its associates, affiliates and other groups, amid "terror links". On September 27, after multiple raids across India, the Central Government took the decision and banned the outfit under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA,) for a period of five years, with immediate effect. Besides PFI, other fronts like RIF, CFI, NCHRO and AIIC are also banned in India.

I’m Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria, the roof of a two-storey building collapsed on September 19. Three members of a family have been rescued from the site. Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma said that the persons lived in the same house, and have now been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Fire Breaks Out At Toy Factory In Delhi; 14 Fire Tenders Despatched

In Delhi’s Indralok area, a fire broke out at a toy factory on August 30. The fire was massive and required 14 fire tenders to attend to it. Immediately after the incident, 14 fire tenders were despatched to douse the fire. “The fire has been brought under control. No casualty has been reported,” said MK Chattopadhyay, Divisional Fire officer.

BEST Ordered To Pay Rs 36 Lakhs To Man Who Lost Leg In Accident

In Mumbai, a Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) has ordered the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) to pay over Rs. 36 lakhs to Aslahuddin Shaikh, a 31-year-old man. Notably, the man lost his right leg had been amputated in 2017 after a BEST bus hit his motorcycle in Malad. The decision came after Shaikh's advocate informed that doctors told him that he is 85% disabled.

TMC To Hold "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" Marathon On August 14

The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) along with the Thane district athletics association will conduct a 10-km marathon competition and annual cyclothon on August 14, the eve of the 75th Independence Day celebration.
