NK Singh, the Chairman of the 15th Finance Commission of India, applauded the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and predicted its growth in the coming years. The statement of NK Singh came on the sidelines of the India-Japan Forum, attended by the Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Reacting to a question of the reality of Muslims in India, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "India has the second-largest Muslim population in the world, and that population is only growing in numbers. If there is a perception, or if there's in reality, their lives are difficult or made difficult with the support of the state, which is what is implied in most of these write-ups."
