BEST Launches Direct AC Bus For Airport Terminal 1, 2: Mumbai
In order to make airport travel easier for Mumbai people, the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) launched a new AC bus service for travelling from terminals I, and II, which are 5 km apart. On April 7, the BMC flagged off the bus, connecting the two terminals, at a price of Rs 50, one-way. The new service would help passengers to avoid expensive Uber rides, and time.

Hyderabad Metro Launches Super-Saver Festive Card For Travels On Listed Holidays
On the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Corporation Limited launched a super-saver festive metro card. Available for Rs 50, the card will allow unlimited metro travel covering 57 stations, and three routes with a recharge of Rs 59 only. However, the offer will be valid only on the listed 100 holidays, throughout the year. KVB Reddy said, "This special offer reinforces our commitment to passengers".

RPF Saves 65 Lives, Rescues 1,156 Children From Traffic In Febking
Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprised that in February they rescued 1,156 children who got separated or lost due to any inconvenience. They also reported on saving 62 lives, risking their own safety in February 2022. Notably, the force has launched Operation Nanhe Fariste to protect children against exploitation and trafficking. Pune City Airport Terminal Construction By AAI Underway
The Pune airport terminal work taken by AAI at the cost of Rs 475 crore, is underway. The new terminal building will be air-conditioned with 10 passenger boarding bridges, 72 check-in counters and an in-line baggage handling system. PM Modi has described the need for a good infrastructure and transport facility at Pune city. The construction is expected to be done by 2023.

PMPML Deboards 30,000 Non-Vaccinated Passengers From Public Buses: Pune
The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML), deboards 30,000 passengers daily for not being vaccinated against COVID-19. 30 Passengers Killed, Over 100 Injured On Ferry In Bangladesh
In a shocking incident, at least 30 people lost their lives, and over 100 received injuries due to a fire on a ferry in Bangladesh, on December 24. Reportedly, the launch was going to Barguna from Dhaka, carrying over 700 passengers. The incident happened on Sungandha River at Gabkhan-Dhansiri area in Jhalokathi. The injured ones were sent to Jhalokathi Sadar Hospital and Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.

Oman To Open Travel Sevices For Vaccinated People, Including India
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Oman decided to open its travel services from September 1 for the citizens of over 20 countries, including India who has received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. However, people have to wait for 14 days after receiving the vaccines to travel and also need to carry negative RT-PCR certificates to get exemption from quarantine. Oman also lifted the night curfew in the country.

Metro, Buses To Operate At Full Capacity: Delhi Covid-19 Relaxation
The Disaster Management Authority of Delhi has decided to operate Metro and DTC buses at their full capacity from July 26. However, new passengers will be barred from boarding if all the seats are occupied. Besides, cinemas, theatres, and multiplexes can be run at 50% capacity. Moreover, the number of guests for weddings and funerals has been increased to 100. Notably, schools and colleges are not allowed to open.

Assam Govt Makes RT-PCR Test Mandatory For Fully Vaccinated Travellers
Assam Government has made the RT-PCR test mandatory for travellers who have received both the doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
