The tweet comes after two cases of atrocities against women, in Hathras and Balrampur, surfaced in the state.

The 19-year-old Hathras Dalit woman's medical reports ‘do not confirm rape’, informed the Superintendent of Police, on October 1. The Punjab police arrested a 30-year-old man who allegedly raped a neighbouring minor girl on September 14. Reportedly, the accused lured the girl with sweets and took her to his home. The police informed that the 7-year-old victim's mother filed a complaint after she witnessed the accused sexually assaulting her daughter. The accused had taken the girl to his house in the past too, the police added.

The Uttar Pradesh Police on September 12 arrested a man of allegedly raping and assaulting a 70-year-old woman. Reportedly, the crime took place in the early hours of September 12 when the accused barged into the house and assaulted the victim. Haldi police station SHO Satyendra Rai stated that the accused used to work in the victim's neighbouring house. The victim was taken for a medical examination.
