Rajasthan Witnesses Heavy To Very Heavy Rainfall, Says IMD

The isolated region of Rajasthan witnessed heavy to very heavy rainfall, which is predicted to continue till the evening of June 14 evening.  As per sources, places like Barmer recorded 130 mm rainfall while Atru in Baran received 98 mm rain. Furthermore, the Rajasthan Weather department has forecast moderate to heavy rains in some areas under Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Kota divisions. The rainfall will reduce by June 15, after 24-hours.

Rajasthan Reports 1st Death Due To Omicron In India

India recorded its first death due to the COVID-19's Omicron variant in Rajasthan's Udaipur, according to the media reports. Reportedly, the variant was reported in a 73-year-old man, who died on December 31. The man was tested positive for coronavirus on December 15. However, he was found positive for the new variant on December 25 after the results of his sample for genome sequencing came on December 25.
