Home Minister's Special Operation Medal To Now Be Given To Officials Of CBIC
Apart from the police department, officials from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs are now eligible for the Union home minister's special operation medal. The medal is awarded for the actions taken by the personnel in preventing narcotics smuggling. In 2021, about 397 personnel received the award, whereas only 39 recieved it in 2020 and 46 in 2019.

Amit Shah To Begin 2 Day Visit To Maharashtra On Dec 18
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Maharashtra. He will leave on December 18, and will visit Shirdi temple at 11:15 AM. Later, he will launch projects like CSFL building, attend conferences, public meetings, events and others during his visit. Amit Shah is scheduled to return to Delhi on evening of December 19.

Amit Shah Visits UP; Launches Various Projects In Lucknow, Mirzapur
Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited UP on August 1 to lay the foundation stones of Uttar Pradesh Institutes of Forensic Sciences (UPIFS) in Lucknow and Vindhya Corridor in Mirzapur district. According to the official statement, Shah was accompanied by chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Amit Shah Aims To Plant 1 Million Saplings In Shillong
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, under PM Modi's vision of combating global warming and climate change, launched "Assam Rifles Gree Sohra Plantation Drive" in Shillong upon his two-day visit to the northeastern regions. Govt Plans To Amend CrPC, IPC To Boost Women's Safety: MoS Kishan
Focusing on strengthening women's safety in the country, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said the government would amend the Criminal Code (CrPC) and the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Speaking about installing fear of law in people, he pointed out that women's safety is of great importance to the Union Government. Reddy added the Centre has been consulting many experts to change the IPC and CrPC.

Union Home Minister Announces Health Care Scheme For CAPF Jawans
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 23 announced the "Ayushman CAPF" healthcare scheme for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) jawans. The scheme aims to extend the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat: Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) to approximately 28 lakh personnel of the CAPF. Under this scheme, CAPF officers and their families can avail medical benefits at any CGHS empanelled private hospital in the country.
