23 Crore Women Given Access To Bank Accounts Under MUDRA Scheme: Smriti Irani

Union Minister Smriti Irani informed Rajya Sabha that 68% beneficiaries under the Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency (MUDRA) scheme, were women. She further stated that Rs 32 crore worth loans have been sanction under the scheme. Moreover, 23 crore women now have bank accounts for the first time in their lives. "Even in the stand-up India programme, 80% of the beneficiaries are women," she added.

The Additional Solicitor General of India Aman Lekhi, tendered his resignation letter to the Supreme Court, on March 4, with immediate effect. Although, the letter addressed to the Union Law and Justice Minister of India Kiren Rijiju, doesn't specify the reason behind the sudden resignation. Aman Lekhi was appointed as the Additional Solicitor General in March 2018, later in July, 2020 he was re-appointed till 2023.

RPA To Direct 10-Years Passport Validity For Karti Chidambaram

Union former P Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram will get a new passport with 13-year passport validity. The Madras HC  bench led by Justice M Govindaraj asked the Regional Passport Authority (RPA) to issue the passport. He allowed a writ petition from Karti, dismissing petition ordered dated April 8. 2021 and August 24, 2021, of the RPA, which turned down Karti's plea for passport valid for 10 years.

In the presence of state CM Basavaraj Bommai, the 925 km project was inaugurated. "Roads are not just meant for transport connectivity, they supplement economic, cultural, and agricultural growth too," Bommai said. Furthermore, MoU would be signed for GST exemption in construction materials.
