PM Modi To Address Bijnor Public Rally Virtually Amid Bad Weather
PM Narendra Modi's rally in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district, scheduled on February 7, has been cancelled. Notably, PM Modi was suppose to visit Bardaman College, where all the arrangements were made. However, the bad weather didn't let PM Modi reach the venue, therefore he is going to address the public of Bijnor, virtually. Notably, Bijnor's two constituency are a strong hold of the Samajwadi Party.

2 Arrested For Alleged Firing At AIMIM President's Vehicle: Meerut
Uttar Pradesh police arrested two people for allegedly shooting at AIMIM President Convoy in Meerut, UP. On February 3, Asadauddin Owaisi was returning to Delhi after addressing a rally in Meerut, when some people gun shot at his vehicle. Deepak Bukher, the Superintendent of Police of Meerut registered the case and confirmed the arrest of two people. He further said, an investigation is underway.

Arrest Warrant Issued Against Swami Prasad Maurya: Uttar Pradesh
An arrest warrant has been issued against former UP Minister and BJP leader Swami Prasad Maurya. The warrant has been issued in seven years old, 2014 hate speech case. Notably, the matter will be heard by a special MLA Court in Uttar Pradesh, on January 24. The issued warrant came a day after he submitted his resignation from the BJP Cabinet in Uttar Pradesh, ahead of the State Assembly polls.

SP & Congress MLAs Join BJP Ahead Of 2022 UP Assembly Polls
Ahead of the UP Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party and Congress leaders switched their loyalties and joined the BJP, on January 12. Congress' Naresh Siani, SP's Hariom Yadav and Dharmpal Yadav, joined the BJP in the presence of UP BJP Chief Swatantra Dev Singh and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya. Reportedly, UP Assembly elections are scheduled in seven phases, starting from February 10.
