Beggars Corp. Turns Beggars Into Entrepreneurs: Varanasi

Common Man Trust, a not-profit orgranisation based in Varanasi, launched 'Beggars Corporation' to make Varanasi a beggar-free city by 2023. Kashi Vishwanath Temple Closed For 2 Days; Construction Work Underway

In Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi, Kashi Vishwanath Temple has been closed from November 30 till December 1 to complete construction work within the premises. Reportedly, the work of polishing the new marbles is going on. Earlier in November, CM Yogi had also installed a rare idol of Maa Annapurna Devi at the temple which was stolen about 100 years ago. The idol was recently retrieved from Canada.

Amit Shah To Visit Varanasi To Review UP Election Strategy

Ahead of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly election, Home Minister Amit Shah is set to visit Varanasi on November 12. During his two-day visit, Shah will hold meetings to discuss the election strategy. He'll discuss the strategy with the office bearers of 98 districts, in-charges of all 403 Vidhan Sabhas, and regional presidents. Meanwhile, senior BJP leaders, including CM Yogi Adityanath will also be present at the meeting.

Idol Of Goddess Annapurna Retrieved From Canada, To Be Given To UP Govt

Uttar Pradesh government on November 11, will receive an idol of Goddess Annapurna which was abducted from Varanasi almost 100 years ago, was recently discovered in Canada. The idol is 17 cm tall, 9 cm wide and 4 cm thick. It will arrive in Varanasi on November 15 and will be placed in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will sanctify the idol.

Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Corridor Project To Be Completed By November

Varanasi divisional commissioner Deepak Agarwal said that the 75% work of the Kashi Vishwanath project, worth Rs 900 crore, has been completed and it'll be completed 100% by November. Reportedly, 24 buildings, part of the project of 5 lakh square feet, have been constructed so far. The project includes a virtual museum, a meditation platform, a library, a cafeteria, and a path from river Ganga to Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
