Russia Deploys Missiles & Destroys Command Centre In Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk
Russia deployed Kalibr missiles to destroy Western-supplied M777 howitzers and armoured vehicles. Due to which, at least 50 Ukrainian armed force officers and generals have reportedly been killed. The attack was targeted at the command centre in the eastern Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk, which resulted in "heavy casualties" for the Ukrainians. Notably, Moscow scaled up it's agression after the West started supplying arms to Ukraine.

President Putin To Depend More On China & India As EU Could Ban Russian Oil
As European Union considers banning Russian energy, President Vladimir Putin might have to rely more on China and India. EU leaders decided to seek a partial embargo on Russian crude oil shipments by sea, which could cost Putin up to $10 billion in lost export earnings per year. However, with China and India already buying enormous quantities of Russian oil, there is limit to how much they can reasonably buy.

Putin May Temporarily Hand Over Power As He Undergoes Cancer Treatment: Report
Russian President Vladimir Putin may temporarily hand over power to the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev. A New York Post report claims that Putin has recently been suffering from a host of ailments, including Parkinson's disease and cancer. The report also claims that Putin has been visited by an oncologist several times in recent years. There is no official information yet.

Russia Unlikely To Alter Military Action In Ukraine
The Russian military is unlikely to alter its actions amid the ongoing special operation in Ukraine. This comes just days ahead of the Russian Victory Day, which falls on 9th May. "The pace of the operation in Ukraine depends, first of all, on the need to minimize any risks for the civilian population and (the) Russian military personnel," shared Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Modi Has Intervened With Putin Several Times, Claims Boris Johnson
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has claimed that PM Narendra Modi has intervened with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the Russia-Ukraine conflict several times. While speaking at a press conference fixed by the British High Commission, Johnson refused to criticise India over not condemning Russia. Later, he also opened up to the media about the reopening of the British embassy in Kyiv.

Russian Airstrikes Leave 5 Dead, Several Others Injured
With no end in sight to the Russia-Ukraine war, five more people have been reported dead and twenty others have been injured, in fresh airstrikes led by the Russian forces on Ukrainian streets and buildings. Four million Ukrainians have already fled their native land. Ukraine has condemned the artillery attacks. Zelensky has slammed Russia for what he has described as artillery against regular civilians.

Over 4 Lakh People Fled Ukraine: UN Refugee Agency Chief
UN Refugee Agency Chief Filippo Grandi on March 30, said that over four million Ukraine citizens fled the country since the beginning of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Over 2.3 million of the refugees fled to neighbouring country Poland. Also, neighbouring countries such as Romania, Moldova and Hungary received a record-breaking number of refugees from Ukraine. US Offers To Intervene & Evacuate Ukrainian President From Kyiv; He Declines
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy was offered to be evacuated from the capital city of Kyiv by US, amid ongoing Russian invasion, on February 26. Zelenskyy declined the offer and decided to keep up his promise of defending Ukraine. Zelenskyy also stated that the capital city of Kyiv must be protected at all costs.
