Russia deployed Kalibr missiles to destroy Western-supplied M777 howitzers and armoured vehicles. Due to which, at least 50 Ukrainian armed force officers and generals have reportedly been killed. The attack was targeted at the command centre in the eastern Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk, which resulted in "heavy casualties" for the Ukrainians. Notably, Moscow scaled up it's agression after the West started supplying arms to Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin may temporarily hand over power to the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev. A New York Post report claims that Putin has recently been suffering from a host of ailments, including Parkinson's disease and cancer. The report also claims that Putin has been visited by an oncologist several times in recent years. There is no official information yet.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has claimed that PM Narendra Modi has intervened with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the Russia-Ukraine conflict several times. While speaking at a press conference fixed by the British High Commission, Johnson refused to criticise India over not condemning Russia. Later, he also opened up to the media about the reopening of the British embassy in Kyiv.

Days after Ukrainian authorities arrested Viktor Medvedhuk, the closest ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, his celebrity wife has appealed to President Zelensky for his immediate release. She has also alleged physical and mental torture from the Ukrainian officials, and referred to her husband as a "political prisoner." His wife Oksana Marchenko has served as the host on 'X-Factor Ukraine' in the past.

President Biden has announced to attempt an approach used 75 years ago, called the "containment", which was used as a strategy during the Cold War. Amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, Biden has announced Containment 2.0, which is considered to be a better and revised version of the strategy, in modern era. The strategy was used when the Soviet Union was trying to take over states beyond its borders.
