Assam Govt Proposes New National Park In Ripu Reserve Forest
As an addition to the five existing national parks, Assam to get a new Raimona National park soon, informed the state forest minister Parimal Suklabaidya. However, the project awaits approval from the state Governor. Reportedly, the new forest will be formed by upgrading the existing Ripu reserve forest, which comes under the Manas national park. Interestingly, the Ripu forest was once a habitat of endangered Golden Langurs.
