Assam Professor Arrested For Sending Emails To Govt Officials

In Assam's Hailakandi district, an associate professor was arrested for allegedly sending emails to officials criticizing government policies and other officials. The police registered a case under suo moto and arrested the professor under the relevant IPC sections. The police further added that the accused had also purportedly criticized the National Education Policy 2020 and the ongoing `Gunotsav' in Assam. Besides, police officials, the accused sent the emails to officials.
