Following a huge drop in COVID cases and deaths in Maharashtra, there has been an 18.22% drop in testing, due to the festive season, where people are "not ready" to get themselves tested. However, the state completed over 20 lakh COVID testings between September 20 to October 3. Dr. Om Shrivastav stated, there has been a drop in daily cases but it is not in connection with decrease in testings.
