Female Voter Turnout Crosses Male Voters In Bihar Assembly Elections
For a consecutive third time, the total vote turnout of women (59.7%) was more than that of men (54.6%) in recently concluded Bihar Assembly polls. However, the male participation was recorded as highest since 2010. Even in the 2019 General elections, the total female voter turnout in Bihar was more than men at 59.5% and 54.9% respectively. The ongoing pandemic has however resulted in decreased female voter turnout than the 2015 elections (60.4%).
