ICMR Gets DGCA, MoCA Nod To Conduct Drone Trials For Vaccine Delivery
The Indian Council of Medical Research has received a go-ahead from the Civil Aviation ministry and Directorate General of Civil Aviation to conduct trials of COVID-19 vaccine delivery through drones. Granted conditional exemption, the study will be conducted in a collaborative effort with IIT-Kanpur. Valid for only one year the permission requires the trial conducting entities to fulfill all conditions laid by DGCA and MoCA, to avoid action.
