India Awaits Nepal’s Consent For Examining Raxaul-Kathmandu Railway Line
The Indian Embassy in Nepal awaits consent from the Nepal Government to examine the Raxaul - Kathmandu rail link, ensuring Covid-19 safety measures. The Konkan Railway Corporation is set to examine the rail link connecting the countries. The 136 km project is estimated to cost around three trillion Nepali Rupees. Balram Mishra, Director General of Railways said, "It will take at least a year to complete the study."
