India Propose Including Chabahar Port In INSTC To Usher Connectivity
On the occasion of Chabahar Day on March 4, India proposed to include Iran’s Chabahar port in the International North-South Transport Corridor. Eyed at increasing economic prospects of the countries, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed hope in expanding the project. Besides a 7200-km project, INSTC connects freight movements from India, Iran, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Central Asia, and Europe. Currently, India is partnering with 12 countries to establish the corridor.
