India Reports 16,167 New COVID Cases & 41 Deaths In Last 24 Hours: COVID Update

India reported 16,167 new cases of COVID-19 and 41 fatalities in the last 24 hours, on August 8. A recovery rate of 98.50% has been recorded in the country, taking the total active caseload to 1,35,510. India's daily positivity rate stands at 6.14%, and weekly positivity rate at 4.64%. Futhermore, India has administered over 206 crore cumulative doses of COVID vaccine, since the beginning of the pandemic.
