With an initial lot of nearly 5,000 soldiers, the group includes varying mix of infantry, tanks, artillery, air defence, signals, engineers and other units. Reportedly, the troops will be deployed permanently and will be carved out of existing formations by 2022. Moreover, IBGs of different areas will function differently depending upon the situation and terrain.
