Indian Navy Deploys Women Officers On Navy Warships After 25 Years
After a 25-year gap, the Indian Navy has deployed four women officers on naval warships. An official from the Indian Navy stated that “two women officers…have been assigned duties aboard INS Vikramaditya and INS Shakti." Reportedly, the recent appointments were made at air traffic controller, logistics officers, and women doctor posts. Moreover, the inductions of women were first after the appointment of the first women crew in the 1990s.
