India's NDRF Expected To Bag UN-Backed INSARAG's Accreditation
India's National Disaster Response Force is expected to secure a globally accepted standardisation by the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group. Headquartered in Switzerland, INSARAG is a network of 90+ disaster-responding countries backed by the UN and concerned with urban search and rescue related issues. The UN-mandated accreditation, anticipated for 2021, will enhance India's profile as a disaster response-oriented country where protocols and standard operating procedures are a class apart.
