Javed Akhtar 'Indirectly' Slams Kangana Ranaut's Remark On India's Freedom

Kangana Ranaut was slashed by the public and various leaders regarding her remark on India's independence. She said that India got its freedom in 1947 was 'bheek'. Lyricist Javed Akhtar indirectly slammed her, writing, "Why would all those who had nothing to do with freedom movement feel bad if someone calls our freedom just a bheek." Furthermore, many have requested the Centre to withdraw the Padma Shri given to her.
