Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park To Receive 8 African Cheetahs
As a part of India’s first inter-country big cat relocation project, eight African Cheetahs will be shifted to Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park. Reportedly, five male and three female cheetahs will be translocated from the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) of South Africa to Kuno. The proposal for the translocation was first raised by India in the year 2010. Interestingly, this will also be the world’s first inter-continental large carnivore's relocation.
