Peru Court Allows Woman For Euthanasia After 5-Year Legal Battle
Being bed-ridden for decades, a 44-year-old Ana Estrada from Peru has won her fight for "dignified death". A psychologist by profession, Ana has been suffering from incurable polymyositis disease and was on a mechanical ventilator. The Court hearing Estrada’s five-year-old petition held to extend her peaceful death under Euthanasia, asking the state health insurer to provide ‘all conditions’ to end her life within 10 days of expressing her wish to die.
