Tata to Stop Street Light Service in Northern Delhi From October 15
Acting over a 32-month due of Rs 22 crore by the Delhi infrastructure authorities, the Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) declared that it will stop power supply to 65,000 streetlights in North Delhi, starting October 15. TPDDL said that it cannot maintain streetlights in the Northern and North-Western regions of the city owing to mounting dues. TPDDL added that it has requested union ministry, Delhi Police, and state government to intervene in the issue.
