Union Govt Approves Rs 26,000 Crore For 25,000 Mobile Towers Installation

The Telecom Minister of India Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that PM Modi-led Central Government approved Rs 26,000 crores for the installation of 25,000 mobile towers in 500 days. The official announcement was made after the conclusion of Digital India Conference of State IT Ministers', on October 4. The Universal Services Obligation Fund will provide financial support, and will be implemented by Bharat Broadband Network, enhancing telecom services in India.
