Women In Nepal Run Carrying Husbands On Back; Sets Example Of Equality
Setting an example of gender equality, women in Nepal's Devghat village raced 100 meters carrying their husbands on their backs. Reportedly, the race was organized by the village council to mark International Women's Day and featured 16 couples. Organiser Durga Bahadur Thapa stated, "we want to send out a message that women also are capable and are no way less than men when it comes to strength and psychological well-being.”
