AAP MP Sanjay Singh Files Petition Challenging Arrest In Delhi Liquor Case
Sanjay Singh, the MP of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) filed a petition in the Delhi High Court (HC) challenging his arrest. Notably , the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Sanjay Singh, in the Delhi liquor scam case. He has also challenged the remand granted to him by the trial court, recently. The court will hear the matter on October 13, confirmed sources.

Delhi Court Grants Custody Of Sanjay Singh Till Oct 10
Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has sent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh to remand till 10 October in connection with the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy or liquor scam case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday arrested Sanjay Singh after a day-long questioning by officials at his Delhi residence. Special Judge M K Nagpal remanded Singh in ED custody till October 10.

Shikhar Dhawan Granted Divorce From Local Delh Court
Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan on October 5, granted divorce by a local court in Delhi from estranged wife Aesha Mukherji on account of his being subjected to mental cruelty. The judge accepted all the allegations made by Dhawan in the divorce petition against his wife. Mukerji subjected Dhawan to mental affliction by forcing him to live separately from their son for years. However, the permanent custody of son is with Aesha.

Akasa Airline Seeks Intervention Of Delhi HC Over Pilot's Resignation
Akasa Airlines filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, seeking intervention into the recent mass resignation of pilots. Notably, the airline is going through a shortage of pilots, as 43 pilots submitted their resignation, to join rival airlines, leading to a potential shutdown. The Airline, which is cancelling over 21 flights a day, is suffering huge losses and also sought action by the Director General of Civil Aviation.

2012 Geetika Sharma Suicide Case: MLA Gopal Kanda Acquitted
Delhi Court on July 21 acquitted MLA and Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) chief Gopal Kanda in the 2012 Geetika Sharma suicide case. Sharma was an air-hostess in Kanda's Airlines. In her suicide note, she had said that she committed suicide because of harassment by him. Shortly after Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court acquitted the former Haryana Minister, Gopal Kanda addressed the media outside the court premises.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Gets Interim Bail In Wrestlers Assault Case
In the Wrestler sexual assault case, BJP MP and WFI Chairman Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh got two days interim bail. According to sources, on July 18, the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court granted him bail, with a furnish bond of Rs 25,000. Furthermore, the single bench magistrate bench also adjourned the matter for the next hearing, scheduled on July 20. Notably, the Delhi Police issued a summon notice against Brij Bhushan.

Delhi Court Summoned Brij Bhushan Sharan In Wrestlers Sexual Assault Case
In a recent development, the Delhi Court summoned Wrestler's Federation India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on July 18. Notably, BJP MP and WFI Chairman is accused of sexual harassment charges and a case is registered against him. Vinod Tomar, suspended assistant secretary of the WFI was also summoned by court, which said there are enough evidence against the accused. The development came days after the Wrestlers' protest.

Manish Sisodia Withdraws Interim Bail Plea Pending Before Court
The AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia withdrew his bail plea. Notably, the plea was pending before the Delhi HC. The decision to withdraw the interim bail plea was in connection with his regular bail plea in one of the cases he faces has been reserved. Sisodia, arrested in connection with 2021-22 excise policy case, filed pleas for six-week interim bail to look after his ailing wife.

AAP Leader Sisodia's Judicial Custody Extended Till June 1
Once again, a Delhi court extended judicial custody of former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The AAP leader's custody with the ED has been extended till June 1. Sisodia is in judicial custody in the money laundering and Delhi Excise Policy scam, since March, with basic facilities like books, and others. Meanwhile, over the extension, Sisodia lashed out at the BJP Government and harassed innocent politicians who raises voice.
