Man Arrested For Changing DoB Of Minor To Marry: Mumbai
A youth has been arrested for allegedly marrying his minor girlfriend after getting her date of birth on her Aadhaar Card changed to show she is an adult, confirmed a Mumbai Police official. The case was filed by the minor's father. As per the complaint filed at Dahisar police station, she was born on May 7, 2006 but the accused got it changed to March 12, 2004 on Aadhaar Card.

Central Govt Extended Date For Aadhar Card, PAN Card Link
The Government of India announced a new date to link Aadhar Cards with PAN cards. As per the central government notice, the new date is said to be June 30. It said that notification in this regard is being issued separately. Linking PAN with Aadhaar is important to help curb tax evasion. The CBDT also mentioned the penal action a taxpayer will have to face from July 1.

Link Your PAN Card And Aadhar Card Before April 1
The Income Tax Department has announced March 31, 2023, as the last date to link your PAN Card with Aadhar Card. Under new rules, PAN and Aadhaar can be linked now along with a penalty of Rs 1,000. If you don’t link both ID cards before the final deadline, your PAN will become inoperative. The last date to link PAN and Aadhaar without a penalty was June 30, 2022.

Assam Govt To Seek Supreme Court's Clearance For Aadhaar Cards To NRC
Assam government is set to move the Supreme Court (SC) seeking a directive to the Centre for granting Aadhaar cards to those left in NRC. In addition, over 27 lakh residents in the state whose biometrics were collected to update the NRC, of which 1.9 million were left out . ''Those from indigenous communities, have been left out of government schemes like free rice or housing," said minister Pijush Hazarika.

I Never Said Liquors should be sold through Aadhaar card: Ratan Tata
Ratan Tata, the chairman of Emeritus of Tata Sons has clarified that he never said, ''Liquor sales should be sold through Aashaar card'' following some miscreant netizens claimed that Tata said so. The 83-year-old tycoon also shared the screenshot of the fake claim on his Instagram account and wrote, ''This wasn't said by me. Thank you.'' The post also claimed, ''Government food subsidies should be stopped for alcohol buyers.''

Aadhar-EPF Linking Made Mandatory From September
Employee Provident Fund account holders should link their Aadhar card with the PF accounts by August 31, after which the link will stop the users from making contributions to their accounts. The Funding regulator has also instructed the employees to get the Universal Account Number of all EFP account holders. Notably, the last date was May 30 but EPFO has extended the date to link Aadhar card.
