China To Add Over 7000 Civil Passenger Aircrafts In Next 20 Years

The civil aviation transport industry of China is reported to resume rapid growth by adding 7,646 new civil passenger aircraft over the next 20 years. Further, the total number of aircraft in China is likely to reach 5,343 by 2025. Furthermore, as per reports, China will be requiring 640 cargo aircraft in the next 20 years, while the civil helicopters are likely to exceed 10,000 by 2040.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's Airline Akasa Air Receives NOC From Ministry Of Civil Aviation

According to a corporate statement released on October 11, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for the establishment of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's new airline "Akasa Air". By the summer of 2022, the new airline hopes to be operational. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Vinay Dube, the former CEO of Jet Airways, have financed Akasa Air. In the next four years, the airline intends to operate over 70 planes.

Jhunjunwala Plans To Buy Aircrafts, To Start Akasa Airline

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed new airline Akasa has reportedly started the discussion with the European plane manufacturer Airbus and America's Boeing to procure aircraft to begin its operation by the summer of 2022. Furthermore, the airline has planned to develop a fleet of 70 planes in the next four years. Akasa is expected to build its fleet either with Boeing's B737 Max or Airbus' A320 aircraft.

To Avoid More Casualties, Algerian Bans Its Airspace For Morocco

Algerian Airspace has reportedly been blocked by the Algerian government for all Moroccan flights due to rising tensions between the two. The Algerian Presidency called it a civilised way of avoiding more casualties and confirmed the ban on September 22. He cited "continued provocations and hostile practices by Morocco" as the reason. Morocco has not yet commented. Flights to be diverted via Tunis for Algerian to Morocco.

19 Chinese Aircraft Detected Entering Taiwanese Airspace

According to Taiwan, 19 Chinese military aircraft entered the southwestern airspace on September 5. Reportedly, Four H-6 Bombers, Four Sukhoi SU-30 jets, ten J-16 fighter jets, and a Y-8 transport were detected by the National Ministry of Defense after which radio warnings were sent. Besides, the aircraft was also detected by the Radar and Missile defense systems. However, China has not released any statement on the incident.

Teenager Attempts To Crash Aircraft In Alaska

An 18-year-old teenager named Jaden Lake-Kameroff attempted to crash a commercial aircraft. Reportedly, the boy got up from his seat and took control over the yoke causing it to nosedive. He has been arrested under the charges of terrorist threatening in the second degree, five counts of attempted assault in the first degree, and four counts of assault in the third degree. Besides, the plane carried six other people.

Philippine Military Plane Crash Reports 17 Deaths; 40 Rescued

According to a local commander, 17 people have died and several are left injured as a Philippine military aircraft carrying over 92 passengers has crashed in the southern Philippines on July 4. Almost 40 passengers have been rescued from the plane so far and the "rescue efforts are ongoing". The accident happened when the pilots missed the runway while trying to land the plane at Jolo airport.

Chinese Warplane Enters Taiwan's Airspace

Taiwan reported yet another Chinese warplane entering the Taiwanese Southeast Air Defense Identification Zone (AIDZ) on April 4. Taiwan Defense Ministry stated the aircraft entered the airspace between Taiwan and Dongsha Island in the South China Sea controlled by Taiwan. Defence Ministry Likely To Purchase French Mid-air Refuellers

Indian government is considering to purchase six Airbus 330 multi-role aircrafts and air refuellers from France to improve striking capabilities of Indian Air Force. The aircrafts can function as transporters, tankers and air ambulances all at once. The proposal specifies the sale of older aircrafts to IAF at lower prices with a 30-year-long platform life certification. Currently, India uses Russian IL-76 M refueller.
