Sameer Wankhede Gets Clean Chit From Scrutiny Committee In 'Fake Caste Claim'
The Mumbai district scrutiny committee has issued a clean chit to former zonal director of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Sameer Wankhede, in August 13. Wankhede was accused by ex-minister Nawab Malik, alleging that Wandkhede faked his caste to secure the prestigious central government job. In response, Wankhede has stated, "I have complete faith in judiciary and the state of Maharashtra".

NDPS Court Directs Release Of Aryan Khan's Passport Seized In Cruise Drug Case
Special Mumbai NDPS Court ordered the return of the passport of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan. On July 13, NDPS Judge VV Patil also directed cancellation of bail bond in the 2021 Cruise Drug Case. Notably, during bail granting, following the Bombay HC's bail conditions, Khan deposited his passport to the NDPS court. However, after he was given clean-chit in the drug case, he sought passport.

Aryan Khan Gets Clean Chit In Mumbai Cruise Drug Case, Reveals NCB
Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan got clean-chit in the Mumbai Cruise-Drug-Case. On May 27, the Narcotics Control Bureau submitted a charge-sheet before the special NDPS court claiming, that all the accused except Aryan Khan and Mohak were under drug possession. Notably in October 2021, the NCB arrested Khan and others from a cruise after a raid and found drugs. The case was investigated by NCB SIT of Delhi-headquarters.

Witness In Aryan Khan Drug Case Dies Of Heart Attack
Independent witness in the NCB Aryan Khan Drug Case died of heart-attack on April 2. Prabhakar Sail (37) suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar, where he was declared brought dead. Furthermore, Sail's lawyer Tushar Khandare confirmed no foul-play in his death. Sail, the bodyguard of NCB official KP Gosavi, alleged that he heard Gopasavi discussing Rs 25 crore-deal after Aryan Khan's arrest in Cruise.

NCB Seeks 90-Day Extension To File Chargesheet In Aryan Khan's Case
A special court on March 30, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, will hear a plea by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Aryan Khan's case. In addition, the NCB is seeking an additional 90-day time from the special court to file a charge sheet in the case. Notably, Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan, is one of the prime accused among the 20, in the case.

NCB Comments Over 'No Evidence Against Aryan Khan' Media Claims
Sanjay Singh, the Deputy Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) dismissed media reports claiming that the NCB and SIT have no evidence against Aryan Khan in "cruise drug case" of October 3. Singh said, "Nothing can be said at this stage. Premature to say anything at this stage". Notably, a media report claimed, NCB has no evidence against Khan and reported irregularities in investigation.

Bombay HC Grants Aryan Khan's Plea In Bail Condition: Mumbai Cruise Drug Case
Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan got relief as the Bombay HC granted his plea seeking modification in bail conditions. On December 15, single bench judge Nitin W. Sambre exempted Arya Khan from weekly attendance at the NCB office in Mumbai. The bench also added that he needs to appear before the NCB when summoned with information 72 hours prior. He also needs to inform the agency before leaving Mumbai.

Aryan Khan Urges Court To Modify Bail Condition: Cruise Drug Case
Aryan Khan, the 23-year-old son of Shah Rukh Khan, on December 10, urged the Bombay HC to change a bail condition under the "Cruise Drug Case". In his written appeal, Khan asked to change the condition of weekly visit (every Friday) to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in South Bombay. However, the court is likely to review the plea next week.

My Family Is Multi-Religious: Sameer Wankhede Attacks Nawab Mallik
NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede on October 25 retaliated in a press note after the Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik shared Wankhede's personnel documents commending him as a fraud. The officer, who was involved in the raid on the cruise ship, stated, "Publishing of my personal documents on Twitter is a defamatory and unnecessary invasion to my family". ''My father is a Hindu...My mother was a Muslim,'' added Wankhede.
