BJP To Contest UP Assembly Elections In Alliance With NDA Parties

The BJP unit in Uttar Pradesh is all set to contest, UP Assembly elections 2022. On January 19, National President JP Nadda announced NDA alliance between the Apna Dal and Nishad Party, similar to 2019 elections. The details of the alliance was held in the last few days, during a meeting, said JP Nadda during a press conference. Notably, UP elections are being held in seven phases, from February 10.

BJP Announces Star Campaigners For 1st Phase Of UP Assembly Elections

Ahead of the UP Assembly elections, the BJP unit released star campaigners list, on January 19. The list include PM Narendra Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh and BJP National President JP Nadda. The top 30 star leaders of the BJP will be campaigning for the first phase of the UP elections, scheduled on February 10.

BJP President JP Nadda To Hold Meeting Over UP, Punjab & Uttarakhand 2022 Polls

BJP National President JP Nadda is scheduled to hold party meetings in poll-bound states- Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab, on January 17. The meeting is likely to be held in New Delhi headquarters.  Reportedly, UP, Punjab and Uttrakhand are set to contest the Assembly elections from February to March. Congress GS Priyanka Gandhi Releases 1st List Of 125 MLA Candidates: UP Assembly Polls

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, on January 13, released the first list of 125 MLA candidates for the UP Assembly polls. Of total, 50 candidates are women including Unno Rape victim's mother Asha Singh. "By fielding 40% women and 40% youths in UP, we hope to start a new kind of politics in the State," said Gandhi. UP Assembly elections will be held in seven phases, starting from February 10.
