Malayalam Actor Sreejith Ravi Granted Bail By Kerala HC In POCSO Case
Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi who was accused in a POCSO case, has been granted bail by Kerala Hight Court, on July 15. Reportedly, Ravi was accused for his alleged act of indecent conducts towards two minor girls. The bail plea was filed in the Kerala HC after bail was denied to him in the Thrissur district court. Furthermore, his counsel has claimed that he's undergoing treatment for personality disorder.

Fake Antique Dealer Monson Mavunkal Denied Bail By Kerala HC
Fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal has been denied bail by Kerala High Court, on July 14. Mavunkal was arrested in multiple sexual assault cases, which include a POCSO case. "Money, politics and the police force are invested to throw the petitioners behind bars," contended Mavunkal's counsel. Furthermore, Mavunkal has also been accused for making crores of rupees by selling fake antiques.

CBI Court Dismisses Bail Plea Filed By Anil Deshmukh: Mumbai
A CBI court in Mumbai reviewed the bail plea of NCP leader Anil Deshmukh and rejected it. On July 11, the court bench denied interim relief to Anil who is hoping to get bail in the alleged money laundering cases. Furthermore, the CBI court refused to accept the bail plea, demanding demand in all cases of money laundering. Notably, besides CBI, ED is also investigating the money laundering case.

Anil Deshmukh Corruption Case: Special CBI Court Rejects Bail Plea Of Suspended Cop Sachin Waze
Special CBI court hearing the corruption case against former Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh, rejected the bail plea of accused Sachin Waze. Allegedly, Sachin Waze, a suspended cop, extorted around Rs 4.70 crore from Orchestra bars in Mumbai. Reportedly, the money was supposed to be paid to Deshmukh, who had ordered the police personnel to collect at least Rs 100 crore every month from bars and restaurants in Mumbai.

Delhi Court Rejects Satyendra Jain Bail In Money Laundering Case
Satyendra Jain, a Delhi minister who was detained by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case, bail application was refused by a Delhi court on June 18. Special Judge Geetanjli Goel dismissed Jain's request for bail, stating that the stage was not appropriate for his release. He was arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act's criminal provisions (PMLA).

NIA Court Denies Bail Plea Of Accused In RSS Worker Murder Case: Karnataka
An accused in the 2016 murder of an RSS worker was denied bail for the third time by a special NIA court in Karnataka. Asim Sheriff has been in detention since November 1, 2016, and is "accused number five" in the case. The bail argument was rejected because the Supreme Court "clearly held that successive bail application is maintainable only in changed circumstances, but not on the same grounds."

Mumbai Session Court Agrees To Hear Hanuman Chalisa Row MLA Couple's Bail Plea
A Mumbai sessions court is scheduled to review the bail plea filed by BJP MLA Navneet Rana and her husband Ravi Rana. The Hanuman Chalisa Row MLA couple's bail will be heard on April 30 at 2:45 pm. However, the Mumbai police had strongly objected to their bail. Notably, the couple is currently under judicial custody with the Mumbai police, for playing Hanuman Chalisa, outside Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray's residence.

SC Rejects Bail Plea Of NCP Leader Nawab Malik
The Supreme Court (SC) rejected the bail plea of NCP leader Nawab Malik on April 22. The Apex Court bench led by DY Chandrachud and Surya Kant said, "We can't interfere with the due process at this stage". The court also asked Malik's advocate to file a fresh bail plea before the special Bombay court. Notably, Nawab Malik is in ED's judicial custody for investigation in a money laundering case.

Bombay HC To Hear Anil Deshmukh's Medical Emergency Plea
In a relief to former Maharashtra Minister Anil Deshmukh, the Bombay High Court (HC) on April 8, agreed to hear his medical emergency plea. Jharkhand HC Postpones Lalu Prasad's Bail Plea In Fodder Scam Case
In a disappointment to Rashtriya Janata Dal president Lalu Prasad Yadav, the HC has deferred his bail plea to April 1. Notably, the former Bihar CM has been convicted in five fodder scam case, during his tenure as the state CM. Recently, the CBI court found Yadav guilty and announced five year imprisonment and Rs. 60 lakh fine. However, Lalu Prasad Yadav filed a bail plea in the Jharkhand HC.
