Canada Bans Travel From 3 African Countries Due To Omicron Variant
Canada on November 30 banned travelers from three African countries over the fear of new coronavirus strain Omicron. ''We are adding three African countries in the list that are Egypt, Nigeria, and Malawi,'' said Jean- Yves Duclos, Health Minister of Canada. He added the passengers, including vaccinated ones, coming from outside Canada, apart from the United States, would now be tested on Canadian airports, reported ANI.

Uttar Pradesh government on November 11, will receive an idol of Goddess Annapurna which was abducted from Varanasi almost 100 years ago, was recently discovered in Canada. The idol is 17 cm tall, 9 cm wide and 4 cm thick. It will arrive in Varanasi on November 15 and will be placed in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Uttar Pradesh. A patient in Canada was diagnosed with a breathing problem suffering from climate change, as per reports. The patient was struggling to breathe after the recent incidents of wildfires in Kootenays which worsened her asthma, media reports said. Moreover, Kootenays has seen over 1,600 wildfires in the year 2021, leading to several deaths due to heatwaves, according to the BC Wildfire Services report.

According to reports, Anita will be replacing Harjit Sajjan, who will now be serving as the minister of the international development agency. Former Indian actress Minoo Mumtaz, sister of Bollywood's ace comedian Mahmood, passed away at the age of 79 in Canada on the morning of October 23, informed her brother Anwar Ali. Mumtaz started her film career with ''Ghar Ghar Mein Diwali'' in 1955 but got success in ''Sakhi Hatim''. Mumtaz, who married director Syed Ali Akbar in 1963, is also known to have worked with Mahmood in ''Howrah Bridge''.
