DCGI Provides EUA Approval To SII Manufactured Covovax For 12-17 Year Old

CBSE Retains Admission Eligibility Criteria For Class 1 Students
The Kerala CBSE School Management announced that the minimum age for class one admission in all CBSE schools for the academic year 2022-23 will be five years of age. However, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) had earlier announced six years for the same criteria, as per National Education Policy which led to protests, against the decision. Air Pollution To Increase Risk Of Developing ADHD In Children By 62%: Study
Children living in areas with air pollution have up to 62% increased risk of developing ADHD, said Barcelona Institute for Global Health researchers. US Reports 9.5 Million Cases Of COVID-19 In Children: Report
USA has reported nearly 9.5 million cases of Coronavirus in children since the onset of the pandemic, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association. As of January 13, over 9,452,491 cases were reported in children. Notably, 1.7% to 4.4% of children were hospitalized and 0 to 0.26% died due to COVID-19. However, the overall rate of cases among children is 12,559 cases per 100,000 children.

Amid COVID-19 Surge, Sri Lanka Vaccinates Children
Sri Lanka Health Authority, on January 7, started vaccinating children, aged 12 to 15, following a warning of surge in COVID-19 by medical specialists. The Sri Lankan Health Ministry stated that children will be given single dose of the Pfizer vaccine. As per ministry, 47 Omicron cases have been detected in the country so far. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has recorded 5,89,479 cases and 15,065 deaths, with 64% fully vaccinated people.

No Paracetamol Needed For Children After COVAXIN Dose: Bharat Biotech
