INS Talwar Set Sail To Participate In Exercise Cutlass Express 2021
INS Talwar is participating in 'Cutlass Express 2021', a naval exercise along the East Coast of Africa from July 26 to August 6. According to the Defence Ministry, this exercise will improve integrated maritime law enforcement capacity, encourage national and regional security. Besides, countries like the US, UK, and India as well as 12 other Eastern African nations are a part of the 2021 edition of naval exercises.

Govt Nods DG AFMS To Recruit Ex-Army Med Officers To Aid COVID Crisis
The Defence Ministry has ordered the DG Armed Forces Medical Services to recruit ex-Army Medical Corps/Short Service Commission officers on a contractual basis. Indian Navy Seeks 24 Utility Choppers On Lease For 5-Years
The Indian Navy on April 23 issued a Request for Information to foreign vendors and authorised leasing firms to lease 24 choppers. Seeking a five-year lease, the deal includes performance-based logistics support along with training of air and maintenance crew. Affirming on twin engine five-tonne chopper, the deal seeks choppers for search-rescue operations and medical evacuation at sea. The Centre has kept a deadline of June 18 for reply.
