ED Says Illegal Cash Kept At PFI's Shaheen Bagh Office
After the Enforcement Directorate had raided at the Popular Front of India (PFI) premises, an accountant of PFI has revealed about the illegal cash. Jail Authorities Raise Concerns Of COVID-19 Outbreak As Prisoners Return
The Delhi High Court's order cancelling extension of interim bails and stays has made jail authorities concerned over COVID-19 outbreak in prisons. Student Activist Umar Khalid Under Judicial Custody Till October 22
Activist Umar Khalid, arrested under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), has been sent to judicial custody till October 22, by a Delhi Court. Khalid had been under police custody for his alleged involvement in the February Delhi Riots. Khalid's lawyer Trideep Pais requested the Magistrate to provide security to Khalid since there is a threat of an attack. The court also permitted Khalid's parents to visit him during this time.

Opposition Leaders Meet President Over Delhi Riots Probe

Mamata Banerjee: Centre Targeting People Involved in Movements
Addressing the arrest of Umar Khalid, who was charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Mamata Banerjee stated that if there is enough evidence, he should be punished. However, she added that "Movements (against NPR, NRC) have been targeted (by the ruling party)". Pointing out that the charge sheet had initially named Sitaram Yechuri and was later dropped, she opined that such actions were not right in a democracy.
