Jail Authorities Raise Concerns Of COVID-19 Outbreak As Prisoners Return

Student Activist Umar Khalid Under Judicial Custody Till October 22

Activist Umar Khalid, arrested under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), has been sent to judicial custody till October 22, by a Delhi Court. Khalid had been under police custody for his alleged involvement in the February Delhi Riots. Khalid's lawyer Trideep Pais requested the Magistrate to provide security to Khalid since there is a threat of an attack. The court also permitted Khalid's parents to visit him during this time.

Mamata Banerjee: Centre Targeting People Involved in Movements
