Delhi L-G Anil Baijal Tenders His Resignation To President Ram Nath Kovind
Anil Baijal, the lieutenant governor of Delhi, resigned on May 18 claiming personal concerns and stating that he has tendered his resignation to President Ram Nath Kovind. Baijal is an IAS officer from the 1969 batch of the AGMUT cadre (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory). He was a former vice-chairman of the Delhi Development Authority in Delhi. In the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, Baijal was made home secretary.

President Kovind Inaugurates New Mughal-Style 'Heritage Park': Old Delhi
Endowed with a Mughal-style 'baradari' and rich stocks of flowers, ‘Charti Lal Goel Heritage Park’ a new heritage-themed park near Jama Masjid in old Delhi was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind, on March 20. In addition, the park is built by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation. Notably, The president unveiled a plaque took a tour of the newly inaugurated garden during his visit.

President Kovind, PM Modi Pay Tribute To Dr BR Ambedkar On 65th Death Anniversary
On the 65th death anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar, which is observed as "Mahaparinirvan Diwas", President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Narendra Modi paid floral tribute on December 6. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge and other leaders also paid tribute at the statue in Parliament premises. He was the architect of the constitution and died on December 6, 1956.

President Kovind Moved Out Of ICU; 'Recovering Well' Tweets Rashtrapati Bhavan
After bypass surgery, President Ram Nath Kovind has moved out of the ICU AIIMS-Delhi on April 3, and has been shifted to a special room. The Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted, the doctors are constantly monitoring and our president is recovering well. Earlier, due to chest pain, President Kovind was admitted on March 27 after undergoing a health checkup at the Army Hospital.

India Lends Its Air Space To Pak PM Imran Khan For His Sri Lanka Visit
India on February 22 allowed Pakistani PM Imran Khan to use the Indian air-space for his two-day visit to Sri Lanka. Pakistan had requested for the permission 10 days earlier under a protocol wherein government heads passing through alien air-space alert the countries concerned in advance. Notably, Pakistan had previously denied permission for air-space usage to President Ram Nath Kovind once, and to PM Narendra Modi twice in 2019.

Devotees Seek Blessings At Golden Temple On 551st Guru Nanak Jayanti
Celebrating the 551st birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, devotees from across the country offered prayers at the Golden Temple and sought blessings on November 30. The Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) was decorated with lights and candles to commemorate the anniversary of the Sikh guru. Education Ministry suspends DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Tyagi
After being approved by President Ramnath Kovind, DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Yogesh Tyagi has been suspended from his duties. According to the officials of the Education Ministry Tyagi made decisions that caused "mis-governance" and "malfunctioning" in DU. They also added that the President has ordered an inquiry against Tyagi's failure of his duties and he will remain suspended until further orders.
