Fully Immunized Doctor Tests Positive Thrice, Twice After Vaccination

A 26-year-old doctor has tested positive for the Covid-19 three times, twice after receiving both doses of the virus vaccine in Mumbai. Dr. Shrusthi Halari, who worked at the city's Mulund Covid Centre, had her swab samples taken for genome sequencing as part of research to study the infection's occurrence after being thoroughly inoculated. However, "the reinfections are confusing,” Dr. Halari said in a statement.

UK Awards MBE To Bengaluru-based Public Health Doctor

United Kingdom has awarded an honorary Membership of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) to a Bengaluru-based public health doctor, Dr Ananda Giri Shankar. Acknowledged for his fight against COVID-19 as Incident Director of Public Health Wales, Dr Shankar will receive award by the Queen of England. "The award is a great privilege," said the doctor who has spent about three decades of his life in Bengaluru.

IMA Requests PM Modi To Ensure Safety Of Doctors, Health Care Workers

K'taka: COVID Patient's Relative Attacks On-Duty Lady Doctor

COVID-19: Black Fungus Cases In Recovered Patients Increase

Delhi's top doctors have observed a noticeable spike in the number of fungal infections, known as mucormycosis, among COVID-recovered patients suffering from ailments like diabetes, kidney, or heart failure. Two Health Officers Suspended In Connection To COVID Deaths In Kolar

Two health officers including the district surgeon were suspended on April 28 citing medical negligence where five died due to COVID-19 at Karnataka's Kolar district SNR Hospital. The state Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar agreed to the lapses in treating COVID-19 patients at the district hospital. Reportedly, the suspended officers have left 40 oxygen ventilators unused that could have been used in the treatment of the deceased.
