Man Who Threatened Maha CM Shinde Is Arrested, Says Deputy CM Fadnavis

Maharashtra police arrested a man in connection with the threat to Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde's life, confirmed  Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. On October 3, the Government of Maharashtra confirmed the same to reporters saying, the state Home department headed by him has taken cognizance of all the threats against the chief minister and registered a case. The details of the man who threatened CM is yet to be known.

On September 30, the Uddhav Thackeray camp of Shiv Sena said, they have plan B, if lose the legal battle against Eknath Shinde, who became the Maharashtra CM with the support of 40 Shiv Sena MLAs, opposing former CM Thackeray. They will have another plan for BMC elections.

Maharashtra Govt Launches Unique ABHA Health Card

The Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra Government launched the ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Account) health card for citizens.  On September 26, CM launched the health card in a virtual event and said, "ABHA health card will be initiated under the Digital India mission by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this digital health mission, a unique health card will be made and through this card." He urged all citizens to register.

BJP’s Maharashtra Unit Demands Ban On PFI

BJP’s Maharashtra unit has demanded for the ban on Popular Front of India (PFI) for its alleged involvement in anti-national work in the country. Sugarcane Crushing Season To Commence From October 15, Announces Maha Govt

The sugarcane crushing season for 2022-23 in Maharashtra is set to begin on October 15 instead of October 1. The decision was taken during high-level meeting chaired by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, in view of the ongoing rains mainly in the sugarcane-growing areas of the state. The meeting was held on September 19, at the Maharashtra Secretariat. Notably, Maharashtra is the third largest sugarcane producer in the world.
