Amid festive season, the Maharashtra Government led by Eknath Shinde announced a Diwali package. October 4, the Maharashtra Cabinet approved Diwali package for ration card holders, announced Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He said ration card holders will get in Rs 100 rava, sugar, Chana Dal and edible oil. The announced offer would be eligible to people holding White Ration cards in the State.
Maharashtra police arrested a man in connection with the threat to Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde's life, confirmed Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. On October 3, the Government of Maharashtra confirmed the same to reporters saying, the state Home department headed by him has taken cognizance of all the threats against the chief minister and registered a case. President of India Ram Nath Kovind is on a one-day visit to Maharashtra, on May 8. He arrived in Nagpur, Maharashtra in order to inaugurate the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Notably, the institute was established in 2015, has now a permanent campus in Nagpur.
