Farmer Seeks Loan Of Rs 6.65 Cr To Buy Helicopter & Rent It Out
Kailas Patange (22), a farmer from Hingoli, applied for a bank loan of Rs 6.65 crore to buy a helicopter and rent it out. Patange, a resident of Taktoda village, applied for loan in a bank in Goregaon, stating that farming in the two acres of land he owns has become unaffordable due to irregular rainfall and drought-like conditions. "Who says only big people should have big dreams?," said Patange.

Ola Cab Driver Allegedly Molest 15-Year-Old Girl, Arrested In Mumbai's Goregaon
In Mumbai's Goregaon, an ola cab driver has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 15-year-old girl and making obscene gestures, on May 25. The accused identified as Murari Kumar Singh (29), originally from Bihar, has been sent to police custody till May 30. PSI Sachin Panchal said, "we are also finding out if he has any prior cases against him".

Mumbai Police Arrests 4 People For Supplying Drugs
In Mumbai, four people have been arrested for supplying drugs, said police on March 28. As per ANI, the four were delivering drugs in the pretext of riding an auto-rickshaw. The accused used to purchase drugs from Ghatkopar and supply the same to people in Goregaon. As of now, the police has seized the drugs and an auto. Furthermore, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

Maharashtra Govt To Allot Over 300 Flats To MLAs From Rural Areas

Youth Died After Falling From Over Crowded Local: Maharashtra
A 22-year-old- youth died after he fell from an over crowded Mumbai locals, on March 23. The incident happened between Goregaon and Malad station, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Borivali Government Railway Police said that a case has been registered and assured further investigation in the matter. Notably, the identity of the youth, who board the train from Churchgate is yet to be revealed.

Leopard Attacks Minor Boy At Aarey Colony In Mumbai
In the latest attack of a big cat, the 14-year-old Darshan Dravid suffered injuries on his neck, mouth, and head after a leopard attacked him at Aarey Colony in Goregoan, police said on October 9. Reportedly, this was the eighth attack within a month. Reportedly, the leopard left Dravid after his friends came listing to his cry. The boy is receiving treatment at Jogeshwari Trauma-Care-Hospital, a police official said.

Maha Govt Faces Backlash, Tribals Say Won't Shift From Aarey
The residents of three tribal hamlets at Aarey Milk Colony in Goregaon started the protest against Maharashtra Government after it tried to relocate them from their land allocated to the Force One Training Centre. The government has assured them alternative accommodations but the tribals are against shifting from the Aarey. Actor Anupam Shyam Passes Away In Mumbai At 63
The 63-year-old veteran actor Anupam Shyam passed away due to multiple organ failures in Mumbai on August 9. Shyam's brother Yashpal Sharma said he was suffering from a kidney infection and was admitted to a hospital in Goregoan. Shyam is best known for TV show ''Maan Kee Awaaz: Pratigya'', movies such as ''Satya'', ''Dil Se'', ''Laggan'', ''Bandit Queen''. The actor's last rites will be performed later in the day.
