Heavy Rainfall Causes Waterlogging In Several Cities Of Tamil Nadu

Continuous and heavy rainfall from the past two days has left with waterlogging and flood-like situations in several districts of Tamil Nadu. Speaking to ANI, a resident Rajathi requested the government to take immediate action to clear the waterlogging. "We can't cook and do our basic activities," added the resident. Besides, In view of this situation, Puducherry has also declared a holiday in schools and colleges for two days.

Heavy Rainfall In Last 48 Hours Cause Flood-Like Situation: West Bengal

For the last 48 hours, the Asansol district has received heavy rainfall resulting in waterlogging and created a flood-like situation on September 30. In many areas, rainwater has reached six to eight feet height and has entered the houses of people which led them to move to the terrace of their buildings. IMD has stated that Odisha, West Bengal, and Gujarat may receive heavy rainfall in the coming days.

Locals Catch 15 Kg Fish From Water-Logged Street; Video Goes Viral

A video of locals fishing in a water-logged area in Kolkata has gone viral on social media. Plenty of fishes reached the streets of Kolkata, due to waterlogging caused by the "heaviest rains received in a decade". Nearly 15 kg of fish was caught by the locals on September 24 and was distributed in the neighbourhood. The video was shared by a local by the name, Piu Mondol.

IMD Issues Orange Alert To Delhi, UP, Rajasthan & Haryana

IMD Forecast: Rains To Continue In Karnataka Till July 23

Sporadic rains received on July 18 in the coastal areas of Karnataka left several roads and residential areas in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and other districts waterlogged. Germany Floods: Atleast 120 Killed, 1,300 Missing

Following the torrential downpour, a catastrophic flood has killed at least 103 people in Germany and 20 in Belgium to date. Meanwhile, Belgium has decided to declare a national day of mourning next week. Reportedly, around 1,300 people are still missing in Germany. About 900 German troops have been stationed for rescue and clean-up operations. Besides, powers are cut in 114,000 houses in Western Germany and 20,000 in Southern Belgium.
